The new generation fast 802.11ax (WiFi 6) dual-band WiFi router offers speeds of up to 3000 Mbps for lag-free gaming, smooth 4K/8K UHD video streaming, and fast file sharing. The increasing number of connected personal and IoT devices has led to general network congestion, testing the limits of the current WiFi standard. The latest standard, 802.11ax, now known as WiFi 6, provides technology that meets future requirements, better network efficiency, faster WiFi connections, improved coverage, and longer battery life for connected devices, significantly enhancing the overall network experience.
The MR3000X is equipped with a fast Gigabit WAN port and three Gigabit LAN ports. The router is easy to set up without a computer using the manufacturer’s own Mercusys app. The free app is available for Android and iOS devices.
The revolutionary OFDMA technology of the WiFi 6 standard offers up to four times better network capacity and efficiency in busy environments. The previous generation 802.11ac WiFi (WiFi 5) can only handle one device at a time on each network channel, which does not effectively utilize the available bandwidth. WiFi 6’s OFDMA technology divides each channel into smaller sub-channels, allowing signals from multiple devices to be combined and transmitted simultaneously. This, in turn, reduces latency and provides users with a smoother and more enjoyable Wi-Fi experience.
