The U7-LR includes several advanced features such as wireless mesh network support, band steering, and fast roaming (802.11r), which enhance the user experience when moving between access points. Additionally, the device supports VLAN, WiFi scheduling, and speed limits, helping with network management and resource allocation. Security features include PPSK, TLS encryption, and RADIUS authentication, ensuring network security and reliable user identification.
The device is designed for ceiling or wall mounting and comes with a plastic mounting plate to facilitate installation. The U7-LR is made of durable polycarbonate and aluminum, measuring 175.7 x 175.7 x 43 mm. It operates within a wide temperature range (-30 to 50 °C) and withstands 5–95% relative humidity.
