It enables removal of unwanted sounds, enhancement of desired frequencies, and balancing of different instrument sounds in the mix. The HPF high-pass filter cuts low frequencies from the signal, such as handling noise, wind hum, and low background noise. The HPF is especially useful on vocal and speech channels.
