The Yamaha MG10X is a 10-channel analog mixer with built-in digital effects. It is suitable for live sound, podcast production, home studio work, and event use. The mixer utilizes Yamaha’s D-PRE microphone preamps, a 24-bit SPX effects processor, and a 3-band EQ, enabling versatile sound shaping and control directly from the mixer.
The MG10X uses Yamaha’s proprietary D-PRE microphone preamps featuring a reversed Darlington circuit. They produce a clean and warm sound that accurately preserves the original microphone tone. There are up to 4 microphone/10 line inputs, divided into 4 mono and 3 stereo channels.
The 24-bit SPX effects processor offers 24 different effects, such as reverb, delay, and chorus. Effects can be used directly from the mixer without additional hardware, speeding up workflow in both live situations and the studio.
The 3-band EQ allows separate adjustment of high, mid, and low frequencies. It enables removal of unwanted sounds, enhancement of desired frequencies, and balancing of different instrument sounds in the mix. The HPF high-pass filter cuts low frequencies from the signal, such as handling noise, wind hum, and low background noise. The HPF is especially useful on vocal and speech channels.
The MG10X features 1 stereo bus and 1 AUX output (including FX). Outputs are XLR balanced outputs. Mono inputs have a PAD switch for signal attenuation and +48 V phantom power supply for condenser microphones. One-knob compressors facilitate dynamic control directly at the channel level.
The mixer’s metal chassis withstands transport and regular use. Dimensions are 275 x 110 x 390 mm and weight is 3.3 kg. A mounting kit is included for fixed installation on a stand.
