The Joie i-Snug 2 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor as an excellent first car seat for a newborn baby. The bucket-style seat features a separate infant insert that can be removed once the baby outgrows it. The protected seat includes special padding for the headrest, sides, and seating area. On both sides of the headrest, there is three-part cushioning along with contoured memory foam padding. The foldable canopy provides shade from direct sunlight and also keeps drizzle out of the bassinet when moving from the car to indoors. The car seat is installed rear-facing in the car using the vehicle’s own 3-point seat belt or alternatively with an ISOFIX base sold separately. The base allows the seat to be attached and removed from the car in just a few seconds and ensures a secure installation with visual color codes and a locking sound.
The Joie i-Snug 2 car seat is classified in the 40–75 cm seat group and is suitable for use from newborn up to approximately 12 months of age.
*The R129 standard aims to improve child safety during car journeys and reduce incorrect seat installations. The R129 standard uses crash tests with a test dummy equipped with 32 sensors instead of the traditional 4 sensors, and side-impact testing is specifically included as part of the approved certification.
