HP Foundation Care device support includes remote troubleshooting and support for covered devices as well as on-site device repair if necessary to resolve the issue (some parts can be replaced by the customer themselves, and in such cases, HP may not send a technician but will deliver the replacement part directly to the customer as quickly as possible).
For HP x86 servers, device support also includes Collaborative Support, where HP accepts service requests related to software from certain other manufacturers, attempts to resolve known issues related to them, and if necessary, makes a service request on behalf of the customer to the software support provider. HP Foundation Care software support includes technical remote service for covered software as well as access to software updates and patches.
