ETROSS-FWT-8848 is a battery-backed GSM gateway / analog converter operating on the 2G network, which enables the connection of all telecommunication terminal devices’ fax machines/postage meters (excluding) such as analog phones, burglar alarms, building automation, etc., to the 2G mobile phone network or mobile virtual switch.
The SIM card is installed in the gateway, after which the device’s FXS phone port functions like a regular landline: a dial tone is heard from the connected phone when the handset is lifted, after which a phone number can be dialed. Similarly, when the number is called, the phone connected to the device rings and the call can be answered.
