The total network speed of the RT-AX53U is approximately 1,800 Mbps – 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 1,201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band – making it 1.5 times faster than dual-band 802.11ac 2×2 routers.

Designed for Multi-Device Households. With OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies, the 802.11ax standard offers up to four times better network capacity and efficiency in high-traffic environments. In previous generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi networks, each channel could only be used by one device at a time, leading to inefficient use of available bandwidth. The OFDMA technology in WiFi 6 (802.11ax) divides each channel into smaller sub-channels, allowing signals from multiple devices* to be combined and transmitted simultaneously, reducing latency and enhancing the Wi-Fi network experience.

Improves Device Battery Life. With the TWT feature (Target Wake Time), the RT-AX53U can set specific intervals for data transmission. End devices can save power by not having to wait for a signal from the router, which can reduce power consumption by up to seven times and significantly improve battery life.

Extended Wi-Fi Range. With the latest WiFi 6 (802.11ax) standard utilizing OFDMA technology, the RT-AX53U enhances Wi-Fi coverage and reach by splitting each channel into smaller sub-channels.
