The Beurer BM51 easyClip is a fully automatic blood pressure monitor that measures systolic and diastolic pressure as well as pulse from the upper arm. The innovative easyClip cuff is easy to attach with just one hand. The large cuff (22–42 cm) fits even thicker arms.
The easy-to-read, large, and clear LCD display shows the measurement result. The backlit screen readings are visible even in low light. The device has 100 memory slots for the measurement results of two users.
The device also warns of possible arrhythmias and indicates if the device has not been used correctly. The device’s risk indicator on the display and the included chart provide additional information about the measurement results.
Every adult should know their own blood pressure level. High blood pressure usually does not cause symptoms. You can only find out your own blood pressure by measuring it. Measuring blood pressure with a blood pressure monitor is easy and convenient even at home. Blood pressure is usually higher at the clinic than at home. When home measurements are done correctly, their results reflect your blood pressure level more reliably than clinic measurements. It is most recommended to perform home measurements with an upper arm monitor.
Blood pressure rising with age is very common. Every second Finn has high blood pressure, while only every fifth has ideal blood pressure. Although high blood pressure without symptoms may seem harmless, it should not be ignored. When high blood pressure is treated in time, serious complications caused by it can be effectively prevented.
Before measuring blood pressure, avoid heavy physical exertion, smoking, alcohol, coffee, tea, cola, and energy drinks for half an hour. The measurement environment should be quiet, unhurried, and warm. Blood pressure can be measured from either upper arm. Usually, right-handed people find it easier to measure from the left upper arm, and left-handed people from the right.
When starting to monitor blood pressure, it is good to check that there is no significant pressure difference (over 10 mmHg) between the arms. If the difference is significant, measure from the arm with the higher pressure.
The warranty period for the Beurer BM51 blood pressure monitor is five years.
