Restart is a family-friendly strategy game where players aim to get rid of their tiles first or have the fewest points when the game ends. The game features special tiles like RESTART and END that can quickly change the course of play, along with scissors and trash can tiles that allow players to remove tiles for added tactical options. It’s a game you’ll want to start over and over again.
How to Play
Each player receives a screen and a set of tiles based on the number of players. Players place all the 1-value tiles in the center to start five color-coded rows. On their turn, a player can add one or more tiles to the end of a row, but the tiles must be in ascending numerical order and consecutive if playing multiple tiles.
Tiles and Special Actions
Tiles come in five colors, numbered 1 to 15, plus two special 16-value tiles: the END tile, which finishes a row, and the RESTART tile, which resets the numbering. Additionally, scissors can remove the last tile played on a row, and the trash can removes all tiles from a row except the starting 1 tile. After using scissors or the trash can, the player immediately continues by playing number tiles on the same row.
Game End and Scoring
A round ends when no player can make a move. Remaining tiles are scored, and a new round begins with tiles dealt again. The game continues until a player reaches 100 points or more. The winner is the player with the fewest points.
