It features familiar and well-regarded technologies such as Vectran puncture protection and the Lazer Grip micro-profile, which offers exceptional grip and reliability during cornering. The stylish translucent sidewalls showcase the casing weave, adding a touch of retro flair to your road bike.<\/p>\n<p>According to Continental, this new tire is 20% faster, offers 28% better sidewall protection, and is lighter by 50-70 grams depending on the size.<\/p>\n<p>Vectran is a patented puncture protection developed by Continental that is lighter and more flexible, providing more effective protection than comparable nylon puncture protection without compromising rolling resistance. Vectran is a liquid crystal polymer (LCP), similar to spider silk, spun from molten Vectra polymer and further processed into a multifilament thread.
