This new tire improves both rolling efficiency and puncture resistance thanks to its innovative construction. The new dual-layer 2\/220 tpi casing enhances the sidewall&#8217;s durability against cuts while remaining flexible for better rolling performance. It also incorporates well-known technologies like Vectran puncture protection and the Lazer Grip micro-profile, which delivers exceptional grip and reliability during cornering. The stylish translucent sidewalls showcase the casing weave, adding a touch of retro flair to your road bike.<\/p>\n<p>According to Continental, this new tire is 20% faster, offers 28% better sidewall protection, and is lighter by 50-70 grams depending on the size.<\/p>\n<p>Vectran is a patented puncture protection developed by Continental that is lighter and more flexible, providing superior protection compared to traditional nylon puncture barriers. It does not compromise the tire&#8217;s rolling resistance. Vectran is a liquid crystal polymer (LCP), similar to spider silk, spun from melted Vectra polymer and further processed into a multi-strand thread.
