Boveda humidifiers maintain a consistent moisture level for your instrument, whether the surrounding air is dry or humid.<\/p>\n<p>Humidity control for guitars can be a bit of a mystery, as it\u2019s quite challenging to determine the moisture level inside the case at any given time. The Boveda humidifier uses an osmotic membrane that absorbs moisture when the air inside the case is too humid and releases it when the air becomes dry. So, you can forget about constantly worrying about your instrument\u2019s humidity, as long as you remember to replace the humidification packs when they dry out. During the cold winters in Finland, the air can become extremely dry, and you might need to replace the packs more frequently.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind that the initial packs may dry out relatively quickly if your case is made of wood. A wooden guitar case likely contains more wood than the guitar itself, in which case the humidifier will also work to balance the moisture level in the case.
