Continuous pan detection automatically activates the cooking zone when it detects cookware placed on it, including the expandable PowerFlex zone. The Stop&Go pause function allows the power of all cooking zones to be temporarily reduced to the lowest setting with the press of a button.<\/p>\n
Thanks to the Con@ctivity function, the integrated extractor hood starts and adjusts automatically according to use. The appliance can only be installed as a recirculating system.<\/p>\n

The cooktop includes highly versatile expandable PowerFlex XL cooking zones, which are 4 cm larger than Miele\u2019s traditional PowerFlex zones. The cooking zones can be used either as separate zones or expanded to one large cooking area for larger cookware such as the Miele Gourmet griddle. The larger XL zone makes it easier to use bigger cookware simultaneously on different cooking zones. The cooktop automatically activates PowerFlex when it detects a larger pan placed on the zone. PowerFlex\u2019s maximum power is up to 7.3 kW, making boiling water quick and easy.<\/p>\n
All cooking zones can be controlled with the easy-to-use centralized ComfortSelect Plus White touch control featuring white indicators. Power selection is conveniently done on a single power bar for all cooking zones. The control panel includes a timer display, residual heat indicator for each cooking zone, and dedicated buttons for the timer and pause function. Each cooking zone also has its own timer buttons. Booster and residual heat can be easily controlled with separate buttons. The power selection bar is fully illuminated and only lights up when the cooktop is turned on.<\/p>\n
Speed and time savings in cooking thanks to the TwinBooster function. Two different booster power levels provide temporarily increased heating power, for example, to boil water faster. Can be selected separately for each cooking zone.<\/p>\n
While power is on, the cooktop automatically detects the cookware placed on it and activates the correct power level bar. Pan size detection directs heating only to the area under the cookware.<\/p>\n
When the doorbell rings or in other situations where you need to step away from the cooktop, the pause function can reduce the power level of all cooking zones to level one with a single button press. Returning to the cooktop and pressing the Stop&Go button restores the original power settings for each cooking zone. This prevents food from burning or boiling over while you are away.<\/p>\n
If liquid boils over or spills on the cooktop, swipe protection can be activated with a button press, locking the power settings and controls for 20 seconds so the cooktop can be conveniently wiped clean without changing the power settings or controls.<\/p>\n
Thanks to preheating automation, the cooktop automatically lowers the cooking power after an initial quick heating phase. This prevents food from burning on the bottom as the appliance reduces power automatically after a certain time from the start of cooking.<\/p>\n
Settings can be easily customized to suit your needs. For example, the sensitivity of the touch buttons and the volume of the signal and button sounds can be adjusted.<\/p>\n
All power settings and alarm timers are temporarily saved in the appliance\u2019s memory. If the cooktop is accidentally switched off, you can restart it within 10 seconds and the appliance will remember the previously set selections.<\/p>\n
Miele\u2019s 10-layer grease filter removes grease extremely effectively from the airflow. Efficient grease filtration is important to prevent grease buildup inside the appliance or the exhaust duct. The filters are made of stainless steel, making them extremely durable. They are dishwasher safe and do not lose shape or color over time. The filter also has a spacious drip tray for collecting any boiled-over water that may have entered the fan opening.<\/p>\n
The KMDA 7676 FL-U combination cooktop can only be installed as a recirculating system. When installed as recirculating, a separate installation and exhaust channel system (DFKS-UR) must be purchased to direct the exhaust air from the cabinet frame through the plinth back into the room. The appliance includes a Plug&Play installation kit that allows steam extraction directly from the back of the appliance into the cabinet frame without separate ducting, but this installation method is not recommended in Finland.<\/p>\n
When installed as a recirculating system, Miele\u2019s replaceable activated carbon filter must be used, located inside the appliance behind the grease filter. The activated carbon filter is supplied with the appliance. Miele\u2019s activated carbon filters are highly effective and remove unpleasant odors from the exhaust air for a long time. The recommended replacement interval is approximately 6\u201312 months (120 operating hours), depending on cooking habits. Alternatively, a rechargeable activated carbon filter (DKF 1000-R) can be used, which is installed in a conversion kit located in the plinth. The rechargeable filter is durable and long-lasting and should be replaced approximately every three years depending on use. Recharge occurs in the oven about every six months.<\/p>\n
Behind the grease filter is Miele\u2019s innovative CleanCover surface. The motor and components are protected beneath this surface, so they never come into contact with dirt or grease. The appliance\u2019s interior is therefore very easy to clean. The special CleanCover design ensures a long service life for the appliance. The base of the appliance can also be easily removed for cleaning.<\/p>\n
The timer can be used for two purposes: as an alarm clock similar to an egg timer or to automatically switch off the cooking zones. Automatic shut-off can be set separately for each cooking zone. You can set the cooking zones to switch off automatically while still using the alarm clock function simultaneously.<\/p>\n
The cooktop automatically controls the integrated extractor hood via the Con@ctivity function. The extractor hood starts automatically when the cooktop is turned on. It adjusts the extraction power automatically according to the cooktop\u2019s power settings and switches off after the cooktop is turned off. The combination cooktop can also be connected to the Miele@Home system and controlled via the Miele app.<\/p>\n
The cooktop is very safe to use. The safety cut-out automatically switches off the appliance if it is used at the same power level for an unusually long time. The overheating protection detects if a cooking zone becomes too hot and switches off the heating element before damage can occur to the ceramic surface or components. If something not intended for the cooktop, such as boiled-over water, gets on it, power is automatically cut off. The child lock function can be used to prevent accidental or unauthorized activation.<\/p>\n
The new BlackPerfection model features a completely black finish. The PowerFlex cooking zones are stylishly black, and the extractor grille and grease filter are also finished in black.<\/p>\n
