Sam teaches kids when it’s time to wake up and when it’s still okay to keep their eyes closed

The adorable Zazu Sam can actually close his eyes and only opens them when it’s time to wake up. Children learn about their sleep rhythm by following the changing colors of the sheep’s clock display and its moving eyes. If the clock face is still red and the sheep’s eyes are closed, it’s time to keep their own eyes shut and continue dreaming. Half an hour before waking up, the clock changes to an orange color. As the scheduled wake-up time approaches, the sheep’s eyes open and the clock face turns green—time to rise and shine! For those already familiar with telling time, Zazu Sam also offers both analog and digital time displays. The clock features a traditional alarm sound that can be switched between three different alarms. The illuminated clock face is visible in the dark and doubles as a night light.

Three Phases of the Alarm Clock

1. Eyes Closed

• When it’s time to go to sleep, Sam closes his eyes and the clock face lights up red.

2. Just a Little Longer

• 30 minutes before waking up, the clock face turns orange.

3. Finally!

• SAM opens his eyes and the clock face turns green.
