Davy teaches children when it’s time to wake up and when it’s still okay to close their eyes

The adorable Zazu Davy can actually close its eyes and opens them only when it’s time to wake up. Children learn about their sleep rhythm by following the changing colors of the dog’s clock display and its moving eyes. If the clock face is still red and the dog’s eyes are closed, it’s time to close their own eyes and continue sleeping. Half an hour before waking, the clock display changes to orange. When the scheduled wake-up time arrives, the dog’s eyes open and the display turns green—time to get up! For those who are already familiar with telling time, Zazu Davy also offers both analog and digital clock readings. The clock features a traditional alarm sound, which can be switched between three different tones. The illuminated display is also visible in the dark, serving as a nightlight.

Three phases of the alarm clock

1. Eyes closed

• When it’s time to go to sleep, the Davy dog closes its eyes and a red light shines on the clock face.

2. Just a little more rest

• 30 minutes before waking, the clock face turns orange.

3. Finally!

• The Davy dog opens its eyes and the clock face turns green.
