VAUDE has collaborated with DAV to develop the Mountain Bivy – a reliable two-person emergency shelter. This lightweight bivy sack packs down to about the size of an A4 sheet of paper, making it easy to fit into your backpack or ski pack, for example, next to a snow shovel.
Whether you’re taking a break at the summit or facing sudden weather changes, the Mountain Bivy protects against wind and rain. The zipper at the top serves as a viewing and ventilation opening. In emergencies, it helps keep the injured warm and can be used as an improvised stretcher. With tightening loops, the bivy can also be used as a tarp or shelter.
The material is waterproof treated 100% recycled polyester, protected from water and dirt with a PFC-free Eco Finish coating.
