The Thermex boost valve module consists of an electrically operated boost valve and a control circuit board. The boost valve module is compatible with all Thermex range hoods that have an “external motor.” This allows the range hood’s suction to be enhanced during cooking. The speed selected on the range hood’s speed display corresponds to a specific duration during which the boost valve remains open (e.g., 1 = 15 min, 2 = 30 min, 3 = 45 min, and 4 = 60 min). It is possible to obtain a potential-free contact signal from the boost valve position for example for building automation systems or heat recovery units.

When a Thermex boost valve module is installed on a Thermex range hood, the range hood can be connected to two different ventilation systems:

1. An apartment-specific HRV unit with a separate control panel. The range hood then features an electrically operated boost valve that opens during cooking: 536.99.1401.9 Thermex boost valve module Ø125 mm or 536.99.1403.9 Thermex boost valve module Ø160 mm
2. A central ventilation system in an apartment building, where the range hood’s exhaust can be boosted during cooking.
