Tarmo Gas Detector, 12 V / 230 V. Gas detector for home, cottage, motorhome, or boat. The detector can be connected directly to a 12 V system (boats, motorhomes) or to mains power (230 V) using the included transformer. The detector warns of liquefied petroleum gas and natural gas (propane, butane, methane).
Installation:
To detect natural gas, the detector must be installed 15 – 30 cm below the ceiling, and the distance from the stove or gas appliances must be no more than six meters. Ensure that the power outlet reserved for the 12 V DC power supply connection is located within two meters of the gas detector installation site.
To detect liquefied petroleum gas, the detector must be installed 15 – 30 cm above the floor, and the distance from the stove or gas appliances must be no more than four meters. Recommended areas include the kitchen, garage, or motorhome.
Note, when connecting to a 12 V system, the gas detector wires must be cut and connected, for example, to the battery using spade connectors, screw terminals, or battery terminals.
