The Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 is a redesigned version of Tamron’s super popular 28-75 mm lens. It retains the compact size and weight of its predecessor, but its optical design has been completely revamped, featuring an advanced VXD focusing motor that offers faster and smoother autofocus than the previous model. The updated optical design consists of 17 elements in 15 groups, including two low dispersion (LD) elements and one molded aspherical (GM) element to control chromatic aberrations and distortions. Image quality has significantly improved compared to its predecessor, especially at the wide end, but also across the entire zoom range, particularly towards the edges of the frame. The G2 version’s bokeh is smooth and beautiful.
