The SmallRig 4439 base plate is designed to improve camera handling, facilitate quick attachment to tripods or camera gimbals, and protect the bottom of the camera. Attachment to the camera is done with a single 1/4″-20 screw and a raised edge. The base plate also has cushions that prevent the camera from scratching and twisting.
The hinged holder next to the battery door better follows the shape of the camera and leaves space for a small grip to ensure a comfortable hold. The Arca-Swiss quick release plate on the bottom supports DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro camera gimbals as well as the DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 gimbal’s own quick release plate and SmallRig Arca-Type quick release plate 3154.
The bottom also features a QD attachment point with a quick connector compatible with QD shoulder straps, and it also has slots for the SmallRig wrist strap 3848. The package includes a tool for easy installation and removal.
