This makes the device easily connectable to many popular smart home systems such as Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Home Assistant, and Samsung SmartThings.
All basic functions of the Shelly EM Mini Gen4 operate fully locally, meaning the device continues measuring and controlling even when the network connection is down. Internal memory stores measurement data during network outages, so no data is lost. This enhances the system’s reliability and usability in everyday life.
The data collected by the device is clearly displayed in the Shelly Cloud Control app and the web service at control.shelly.com. Users can group and categorize devices, making it easier to manage overall consumption. Data is stored in the cloud either every minute for Premium subscribers or every hour for free users, allowing energy consumption to be monitored in detail or at a general level.
