The PT SLS Evil Twin is, at first glance, a stunningly minimalist T-style guitar equipped with the darkest iron parts. Its black surface, contrasted only by Roman numeral fret markers and binding, shines with an impressive depth. As a musical instrument, the PT Evil Twin is also meticulously crafted, with every detail thoughtfully designed to avoid any unnecessary elements. The neck-thru construction and neck joint ensure smooth access to the upper frets, allowing solos to ring out beautifully with plenty of sustain. The three wood types used for the neck’s back stripes are striking against the backdrop of the gray driftwood.
The compensated Ernie Ball saddle, locking tuners, and Hipshot Hardtail bridge all highlight the craftsmanship involved. The Fishman Fluence pickups work seamlessly with the push-pull potentiometers, providing a standard humbucker sound in the down position and a sound closer to a single coil in the up position, without the noise of coil-splitting, thanks to the active electronics.
