Designed and manufactured in Finland, the RuuviTag is a compact, weather-resistant open-source Bluetooth sensor. The sensor continuously measures and transmits temperature, humidity, air pressure, motion, and battery voltage data every 2.5 seconds, regardless of whether an application is receiving the data. Any mobile phone within Bluetooth range can receive this information.
The RuuviTag does not require a hub or gateway to operate – a compatible Android or iOS device and the free Ruuvi Station mobile app, downloadable from the app store, are sufficient. Setting up the sensor takes only minutes, and data collection can begin immediately. The RuuviTag can be used almost anywhere, often limited only by your imagination. Use cases include single-family homes, apartments, summer cottages, suspended ceilings, and cold storage rooms. You can have virtually unlimited numbers of RuuviTags in use, and the app makes it easy to select data from the desired sensor.
The Ruuvi Station mobile app displays data from nearby added sensors in real time on your phone’s screen. You can easily monitor, for example, temperature or humidity trends and schedule alerts and notifications. Place the RuuviTag in a sauna and receive an immediate notification when the desired temperature is reached. The app can also send a notification if the connection to the sensor is lost (no longer within range).
The RuuviTag also functions as a data logger. The sensor continuously records temperature, humidity, and pressure data for the last 10 days at five-minute intervals. The internal history can be imported into the app when the phone is within Bluetooth range.
RuuviTag is compatible with the Ruuvi Gateway. With the Ruuvi Gateway, you can access your sensors from anywhere.
