The TD313 features a PDX-12 snare pad with rimshot detection and an authentic rim feel. The tom pads have offset sensors that reduce the risk of hot spots and allow for natural dynamics. The crash and ride cymbals are multi-zone, enabling versatile playing expressions and muting. The KD-10 bass drum pad is quiet and has an acoustic feel.
The heart of the set is the expandable V31 sound module, which uses the same advanced drum sound engine as Roland’s V71. The module supports USB-C multi-channel audio and MIDI connections, allowing seamless integration with computers and audio software. It also has a dedicated pad input for Roland’s digital snare, ride, or hi-hat pads, enabling expansion as needed. Wireless operation and smartphone app integration allow modular control and easy use of expansions. Bluetooth audio supports music streaming from mobile devices.
The MDS-Compact rack is designed to be sturdy and space-saving, making the set suitable for smaller spaces as well. The hi-hat system is quiet and minimizes sound transmission to the floor, making it especially suitable for home use.
The built-in coach function includes a phrase trainer and hit monitor. It also comes with Melodics content to support skill development. Bluetooth audio enables music streaming directly from mobile devices, making practice with backing tracks effortless.
