Theta X features completely new 48-megapixel CMOS image sensors, an updated main processor, and improved lens design. The new Theta X includes several new features such as a 2.25-inch touchscreen, a replaceable battery, and a Micro SD card slot.
The large 2.25-inch touchscreen enables significantly improved usability
The RICOH THETA X is equipped with a large and user-friendly 2.25-inch touchscreen. The display allows you to preview the subject before shooting, adjust shooting settings, and view saved images, enabling multiple functions from capturing to viewing without using a smartphone, providing significantly enhanced shooting efficiency.
High-resolution 360-degree photo and video recording
The CMOS sensor, main processor, and lens design have all been renewed. Based on the new approximately 48-megapixel sensor, it is now possible to record high-resolution 360-degree photos with a resolution of about 60 megapixels.
Two image sizes are available depending on the subject: 11K for high-resolution shooting in bright indoor environments and 5.5K for easy and efficient image recording in other situations. Additionally, improved image stabilization allows for vivid and smooth shooting of 360-degree videos, which can be recorded at a 5.7K equivalent resolution of 5760 × 2880 pixels at 30 frames per second (fps).
Power can also be supplied to the camera via the USB Type-C port on the side of the main body even when using a tripod, without an additional adapter.
