Black Diamond chain wax combines Rex’s over 70 years of experience with paraffins and the market’s most lubricating Black Diamond additive technology. Hot wax keeps the bike’s entire drivetrain clean and repels dirt significantly better than regular chain oils. With the generous 480 g package, you can treat the chains dozens of times, making waxing also economical. Switching to hot waxing significantly eases bike maintenance and saves chains and sprockets from wear.
The package contains 12 x 40 g wax blocks, one of which is a Black Diamond additive block. In normal use, 11+1 is a functional mixing ratio, but for racing use, you can increase the additive amount up to a 4+1 mix.
In hot lubrication, chains are removed from the bike and placed in wax melted in a pot. Chains are carefully lifted from the hot wax, allowed to cool, and softened by bending. One waxing lasts about 500 km of riding.
