Reolink RLC-823S2 PoE+ surveillance camera for outdoor and indoor use. The RLC-823S2 is a professional-grade tool for year-round camera surveillance with up to 16x optical zoom. Other features include excellent 3840 x 2160 resolution, two-way audio, intelligent motion detection, and automatic tracking of identified targets.
The weatherproof RLC-823S2 is powered directly through the network cable (an indoor power supply is also included). The camera’s maximum resolution is 3840 x 2160, and it features a 16X optical 3D zoom. The 3D zoom means that thanks to the motorized body, the camera automatically pans, tilts, and zooms to the area selected by the user on the screen or app without needing manual step-by-step controls. The camera supports image rotation both horizontally and vertically (0-90° vertically, 360° horizontally).
An excellent feature for motion detection is also the automatic target tracking. If the camera detects a person, vehicle, or pet, it can automatically follow the target’s movement. The camera can also be set to patrol preset freely adjustable targets in sequence. The camera’s LED lights enable vivid color images even in the dark. However, the user can also choose to use traditional black-and-white IR night vision, which optimally reaches up to 80 meters. The camera’s LED lights do not activate from motion detection.
Thanks to intelligent motion detection, the camera can separately identify people, vehicles, and pets in the image. The camera includes a memory card slot (max. 256 GB, card sold separately), enabling local recordings triggered by motion detection. The RLC-823S2 also supports continuous 24/7 recording to the memory card. Depending on camera settings, a 256 GB memory card can store up to approximately 97 hours of continuous recording.
The camera also supports time-lapse videos. The camera is set to take images at desired intervals, and the image series automatically forms a video. Use cases include monitoring construction progress, spring awakening of plants, traffic flow monitoring, sunrise – the possibilities are endless!
The camera is used and controlled with the easy-to-use Reolink app, available for both Android and iOS devices. Finnish is available as a language option in the app. In addition to the mobile app, the Reolink Client desktop application is available (macOS/Windows). The camera is easy to install on the ceiling or wall thanks to the adjustable joint on the mount.
Compatible with Reolink NVR recorders (requires version V2).
