The Pro-Ject T2 Super Phono builds on the popular T1 model’s design, bringing improvements in sound quality and construction that challenge audiophile-level turntables in its class.
The T2 Super Phono is based on a larger CNC-machined chassis than its little brother, made from high-quality materials with no plastic parts whatsoever. The technically precise design ensures a sturdy structure that effectively eliminates unwanted vibrations and resonances. The glass platter is thicker and heavier for more stable speed and higher quality playback. The 9″ aluminum tonearm features updated low-friction precision bearings designed with increased length and diameter in mind. Topping it off is a factory-installed and adjusted Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge with an elliptical stylus: this high-quality cartridge combined with an excellent turntable preamplifier provides enjoyable playback from vinyl records. The Super Phono model also includes an exceptionally high-quality, dual-stage split passive MM turntable preamplifier that can also be switched off.
As per tradition, it features an electronically controlled, high-precision AC motor, gold-plated RCA connectors, and a Pro-Ject Connect It E turntable cable designed specifically for turntable use and effectively shielded against interference.
