Catch, gather, and study wild Pokémon to create the Sinnoh region’s first Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus honors the core concept of previous Pokémon games while adding new features focused on action and role-playing. This adventure takes you to the Sinnoh region, which you might also know as the setting of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl. But this story takes place in an era when there was no knowledge of Pokémon trainers or the organization of the Pokémon League. You will find Pokémon living wild in harsh conditions, giving you a picture of Sinnoh that might not be exactly the same as what you remember from Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.

Catch Pokémon in this game by observing them to learn how they behave, then sneak up carefully, aim with a Poké Ball, and throw! You can also have a Pokémon you have befriended battle wild Pokémon to catch them more easily. You just need to throw a Poké Ball containing your allied Pokémon near the wild Pokémon to jump straight into battle, and you can have your allied Pokémon use the attacks it has learned.

When you start your adventure to create the region’s first Pokédex, you can choose one of the following Pokémon as your partner: Rowlet, Cyndaquil, or Oshawott. These three Pokémon arrived with the Pokémon Professor, who managed to gather them while researching different areas.
