The Novation Launchkey 37 MK3 is a 37-key MIDI controller designed specifically for Ableton Live use, but it also works smoothly with other music software. The dynamic keybed, 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads, control knobs, and comprehensive transport buttons provide an intuitive and expressive way to compose, play, and control your production.
The Launchkey 37 offers extensive control over key Ableton Live functions such as Capture MIDI, track arm, quantize, click, and loop. Additionally, it works seamlessly with Logic, Cubase, and Reason, and provides direct support for Studio One and Pro Tools via the HUI protocol. Ableton Live Lite is included.
37 velocity-sensitive keys and 16 RGB-backlit pads enable dynamic playing and rhythm building. Eight rotary knobs allow precise adjustment of instruments and effects, while pitch bend and modulation wheels add extra expression to your performance.
Scale Mode keeps your playing within the selected key, and Chord Modes allow you to play complex chords with one finger. The built-in arpeggiator helps create moving melodies quickly. Strum mode adds more expression to chord playing, and Custom Modes enable the customization of controls to your needs.
The Launchkey also functions as a standalone MIDI controller without a computer. The five-pin MIDI output allows use with separate synthesizers and other MIDI devices. Custom Modes, the arpeggiator, as well as scale and chord modes, also work as part of your hardware setup.
The device features a USB-B connection, a 6.3 mm sustain pedal input, and a Kensington lock slot. A clear 16×2 character display makes operation easy, and the compact dimensions make the device easy to place for studio and gig use.
