Known for its extremely quiet and high-quality cooling solutions, the Austrian company Noctua has released an updated, more affordable version of the highly praised NH-U12 CPU cooler.

The Noctua NH-U12S REDUX has been made more affordable by reducing, among other things, the number of heat pipes (NH-U12S REDUX has 4, NH-U12S has 5, and NH-U12A has 7), and the cooling fins are not soldered to the heat pipes as in the more expensive models. Additionally, the fan has been replaced with a more affordable NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM model, and the package excludes the Low-Noise adapter, mounting accessories for a second fan, and the NT-H1 thermal paste tube (the thermal paste is pre-applied to the cooler’s base).

Despite the reduced features, the Noctua NH-U12S REDUX offers Noctua’s guaranteed top quality and excellent cooling performance in its price range.
