The NA-FD1 fan duct series significantly improves the performance of Noctua NH-L9i and NH-L9a series CPU coolers in ITX cases with a gap of at least 5 mm (max. 45 mm) between the cooler and the perforated top or side panel. To bridge this gap, the duct prevents the cooler from drawing in hot air from inside and allows air intake from outside through the perforated panel, which can improve CPU temperatures by up to 5°C or more depending on the installation. Since the duct is assembled from EVA foam sheets of varying thicknesses, it is fully modular and adjustable in 1 mm increments from 5 mm to 45 mm, making it compatible with various cases and configurations. In short, the NA-FD1 is a simple yet smart, flexible, and cost-effective way to enhance the efficiency of NH-L9 series coolers!
