The Mora Bushcraft Survival pinpack is an essential multitool knife for outdoor enthusiasts and a true must-have gear that fits a demanding lifestyle. The set includes a top-quality knife with a black corrosion-resistant coated blade, fire starters, and a diamond sharpener. The knife features an exceptionally thick (3.2 mm) blade, making it a very durable knife. The spine of the blade is specially ground to work optimally with the fire starter. The knife is suitable for versatile and demanding use, such as rescue work, hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. The blade is made of high-carbon steel, which means it is easy to sharpen with the diamond sharpener integrated into the sheath.
The knife has a black rubber handle perfectly shaped to fit the hand, with a finger guard. The handle with the finger guard provides an excellent and secure grip, enhancing work efficiency. The black quick-release sheath is equipped with two interchangeable belt attachments: an open quick clip that presses onto the belt from above and a closed loop through which the belt is threaded. The sheath also has a drainage hole at the bottom.
Carbon steel is a rust-prone material, so cleaning and oiling the blade after use is recommended.
Features:
Information about the magnesium alloy fire starter and its use:
First, scrape off the protective coating from the surface of the fire starter with the spine of the knife. The fire starter ignites a fire (birch bark, tinder, birch twigs, dry hay, gas grill, stove, etc.) with a few strong and slow scrapes using the spine of the knife. It works well even in difficult weather conditions: rain, snow, wetness, and high altitude. It produces bright sparks at 2980°C, visible from a distance as an emergency signal. It lasts for up to 7,000 ignitions. Officially approved survival gear by the International Survival Instructors Association. Never scrape the fire starter with the sharp edge of the knife!
Sharpening tip:
Move the blade against the sharpening surface either with small circular motions or along the blade, which makes it easier to achieve the correct angle and reduces scratches on the blade. With Morakniv diamond sharpeners, you do not need oil or water for sharpening. Finish the work and any unevenness by rubbing with a leather strop, or if unavailable, a coarse cloth. Oil the blade occasionally.
