Cook like a pro with the Monart Poele carbon steel frying pan. Carbon steel pans are a favorite among professional chefs due to their excellent cooking properties and nearly everlasting lifespan. This carbon steel pan is a fantastic alternative to coated Teflon pans—while Teflon coatings wear down over time, the features and non-stick qualities of a carbon steel pan improve with each use. With proper care, a carbon steel pan develops a natural non-stick surface made from carbon and fat, making it comparable to cast iron in cooking performance and even better than Teflon in terms of stick resistance. You can safely use metal utensils with this pan.
The Monart Poele is pre-treated and coated with beeswax at the factory. Before your first use, wash the pan with warm water to remove any storage dust and excess beeswax. The small amount of wax that remains will actually help with the pan’s seasoning. It’s also recommended to season the pan with oil before your first cooking session.
This frying pan is suitable for all heat sources and stovetops, including induction. You can even use it in the oven (up to 200 °C for a maximum of 10 minutes).
