The Jalo Helsinki Kupu 10 smoke detector is designed by Harri Koskinen and has received awards for its design. The Kupu 10 smoke detector is available in five different fabric colors as well as a chrome version.
Kupu operates with optical smoke detection technology. Photoelectric, or optical detection, is the most common and reliable technique in smoke detectors; when smoke is detected, the alarm emits a loud and continuous 85 dB warning sound. Jalo smoke detectors also feature a diagnostic function that regularly checks itself to ensure proper operation throughout the device’s entire lifespan.
The detector features quick installation with 3M mounting tape or screws intended for installation, both included in the package. The smoke detector activates upon installation by simply removing the protective film from the tape. Authorities recommend replacing smoke detectors at least every ten years; the Kupu 10 smoke detector requires no battery replacement during its recommended lifespan.
