The Knog Scout is a small and discreet bicycle theft alarm and tracker. The mount, installed on the bottle cage screws, emits a loud 85 dB alarm if the bike is moved. You can also check the bike’s location with Apple’s “Find My” app. The tracking is based on the same technology as AirTag trackers and does not require any monthly subscription services. The Scout can only be found if there is an Apple phone nearby (approx. 10 m) connected to the network.
If the bike needs to be found, for example, in the middle of a forest, we also offer GSM trackers that rely on SIM and eSIM cards.
You can either keep the Scout discreetly black or highlight the alarm with the included yellow protective case. Activating and deactivating the device is easy, either by pressing the button on the side of the device when the connected iPhone is nearby (approx. less than 1.5 meters) or via the Knog app when the phone is within Bluetooth range. The LEDs on the device clearly show whether it is activated.
Installing the Scout does not disable the bottle cage mount, as a normal bottle cage or another device that attaches to the same screws can still be installed on top of it.
