V5 Max is a fully customizable mechanical keyboard ready for any situation. It is a great option to get acquainted with the world of custom keyboards. Thanks to its compact 96% layout, QMK/VIA support, sound-dampening foam, and Double-shot PBT keycaps, the V5 Max is designed for extremely comfortable typing, increased productivity, and long gaming sessions.

Programmable knob The premium rotary knob designed to enhance productivity allows you to easily customize your favorite keys and macros using the innovative VIA software. You can assign any key or macro command to the knob, such as zoom, screen brightness, brush size, opacity, volume control, selecting video clips/photos, or backlight settings.
Wireless and wired modes The keyboard can connect to up to three devices via Bluetooth and switch between them easily. With the wireless USB dongle, you can make the keyboard wireless if Bluetooth is not available. The keyboard can connect to a smartphone, laptop, or iPad. Additionally, it has a wired mode with a USB Type-C connection.
OSA Double-shot PBT keycaps These keycaps have the same height as OEM profile keys and an SA shape. PBT keycaps offer excellent oil resistance, improve typing feel, and prevent letter fading.
Switch layouts between macOS and Windows The Keychron V5 Max is built with Mac users’ experience in mind while maintaining compatibility with Windows devices. It features a system toggle switch and an extra set of customized keys for both Windows and macOS systems. You can save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system.

Pre-lubricated Gateron Jupiter switches Keychron’s Gateron Jupiter three-pin switches come pre-lubricated to the reliable Gateron quality standard, with a lifespan of up to 80 million keystrokes. The unique LED design provides high RGB backlight transparency and smoother backlight effects.
Hot-swap feature The hot-swap sockets on the PCB allow you to install or replace switches without soldering. The PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches.
User-facing RGB LED lights The RGB SMD LEDs are easily visible as they face the user. Suitable also for PBT, Cherry profile, and opaque keycaps.
Screw-in stabilizers and gasket mount Screw-in stabilizers are more stable and less wobbly, especially noticeable on larger keys (spacebar, shift, enter, backspace). The Keychron V5 Max also supports third-party stabilizers. The gasket mount is designed to create a “floating” mount for the switches, allowing a more flexible and cushioned typing experience.
