The Keychron K4 HE SE is a wireless mechanical keyboard that combines the benefits of traditional mechanical design and magnetic technology. Its 96% layout offers a compact yet full-sized typing experience, and the magnetic switches allow for precisely adjustable key activation depth. The Keychron K4 HE uses Gateron double-rail magnetic switches, pre-lubricated for a smooth and stable typing experience. Instead of traditional mechanical switches, magnetic switches measure the keypress depth using Hall effect sensors. This allows you to adjust the activation depth from 0.2 to 3.8 mm in 0.1 mm increments, giving full control over key response and preventing accidental presses.
The keyboard includes Last Key Priority (LKP) and Snap Click functions that enhance playability, especially in FPS games. Dynamic Rapid Trigger responds to key movement without predefined points, and Dynamic Keystrokes (DKS) allow up to four different functions to be assigned to a single key based on press depth. Analog Mode provides precise controller-like control, suitable for racing and sports simulation games.
The Keychron K4 HE utilizes open QMK firmware, enabling easy key remapping, macros, and shortcut creation via the Keychron Launcher web app. The app works on all operating systems and browsers without separate installation. This way, you can adjust keyboard settings anytime, anywhere.
The keyboard supports 2.4 GHz wireless connection with a 1000 Hz polling rate and Bluetooth 5.2, allowing simultaneous connection of up to three devices. Internal 3.5 mm thick EVA acoustic foam, EPDM foam, and a silicone pad dampen sound, making typing noise soft and pleasant.
The K4 HE is designed with Mac users in mind but also offers Windows compatibility and interchangeable keycaps for both systems.
