The AZ-N series brings many subtle innovations to the hugely popular AZ lineup. Inspired by Neo Soul players, this guitar series emphasizes the small nuances and playing dynamics. The guitars are designed to transfer the strings’ resonance as efficiently as possible to the body and from there forward through the new Seymour Duncan pickups.
The compound radius of the AZ-N guitars’ fretboard distinguishes the neck from previous models. The fretboard is noticeably rounder near the headstock and flattens significantly as it goes upward. This makes it easy to play the complex chords and solos typical of Neo Soul on the same guitar.
The Dyna-MIX9 pickup configuration offers nine different sounds directly from the guitar. The humbucker bridge pickup can be split into a single coil by turning the Alter switch, and a humbucker-style noise-cancelling configuration can also be achieved with two single coils.
