Loft 400 is a high-quality sleeping bag designed for three-season camping and hiking use. The bag is filled with high-quality European 750 fill goose down, which has an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio.
Thanks to the goose down, the sleeping bag is lightweight, compressible, and warm. The outer material is water-repellent DWR-treated nylon, which helps keep the down dry. The L-shaped two-way zipper is protected by a flap that prevents snagging and provides additional insulation. The Loft 400 zipper can be fully opened, allowing the bag to be converted into a down blanket. The hood of the sleeping bag features a pillow pocket, adding a little extra comfort for sleeping. In addition to a standard compression sack, the package includes a larger storage sack, which is recommended for keeping the bag when stored for longer periods. The sleeping bag is made in Ukraine.
Specifications:
The comfort temperature of the sleeping bag refers to the lowest pleasant sleeping temperature. The comfort temperature is indicative, due to individual differences in tolerance. The comfort temperature is also referred to as the women’s temperature, as women generally feel colder. At the limit temperature, you can still sleep comfortably if you have a proper sleeping pad, have eaten enough, and can tolerate the cold as an average person would. The extreme temperature indicates the lowest temperature at which a person can survive overnight in a sleeping bag. Sleeping at the extreme temperature is only intermittent, and the sleeping bag should not be chosen based on this temperature. Comfort and warmth while sleeping in a sleeping bag can be improved with a proper sleeping pad, inner liner, and by preventing drafts and moisture accumulation in the sleeping area. Adequate hydration and energy intake also help keep you warm.
It is recommended to pack the sleeping bag by stuffing it into its protective sack. When storing for long periods, it is good to spread the sleeping bag out for a day occasionally to maintain the material’s insulation capacity. After use, always let the sleeping bag dry before storage.
