The HM23 v2.0 runs on commonly available AA batteries and is also compatible with 1.5 V 14500 rechargeable batteries. A large side switch allows quick mode changes, and an electronic lock prevents accidental activation. The lamp remembers the last used setting and starts up in that mode.
