Thanks to its 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) resolution, the CG2700X has an enormous pixel density of 164 ppi. Visible screen pixels are definitely a thing of the past, and the display gives a highly meaningful impression of later print accuracy. The IPS panel’s maximum brightness is 500 cd/m² and the contrast ratio is 1450:1. Films can be evaluated, edited, and graded on the CG2700X with full 4K UHD resolution. The LCD module allows for a 178-degree viewing angle, keeping color tones and contrasts stable regardless of the user’s viewing angle.
To utilize the full color spectrum of modern cameras, you need a display with the largest possible color space. Only then is it possible to visually evaluate and edit the saturated tones contained in the file. Therefore, the ColorEdge CG2700X’s IPS panel covers, for example, a wide AdobeRGB color gamut as well as over 99% of the CMYK print area ISO-Coated V2. This means that the entire color spectrum of modern cameras is represented without distortion or gaps. And an accurate simulation of the print result in softproof view is also guaranteed.
True Black
Color depth for plastic images. Dark tones often appear dull or faded on LCD screens. True Black improves the contrast ratio, and dark tones appear deeper—especially when viewing the screen from the side.
Digital Uniformity Equalizer
Perfect color interpretation across the entire screen. Each individual display panel is precisely measured over the entire surface at EIZO’s factory. All brightness inhomogeneities and unnecessary colors are detected and removed. This process (Digital Uniformity Equalizer) ensures that identical colors always look the same throughout the display’s lifetime, regardless of where they are shown. Only in this way is precise image editing and retouching possible.
Integrated Calibration Sensor
The integrated calibration sensor ensures you achieve maximum color accuracy. The sensor is perfectly aligned with the display, takes environmental influences such as light into account, and correlates the center of the image with the edge of the image. This guarantees a uniform result across the entire screen.
The sensor is located in the frame and is only pulled out during measurements. This means that no external calibration device is needed, and the display’s color accuracy is always optimal.
The CG2700X is equipped with the latest sensor technology, allowing recalibration at any time. You can continue working with applications that are not color-critical during display calibration. The sensor occupies very little space on the screen during calibration and therefore does not disturb. Calibration can also be performed fully automatically at scheduled times, even when the computer is turned off or not connected to the display at all.
