Cederroth eye wash solution has a neutralizing effect on the eye’s pH level, meaning it neutralizes alkaline and acid splashes, resulting in a faster outcome than ordinary saline solution. It generally acts more strongly on alkalis than acids. Shelf life is 4.5 years. If the accident involves calcium-containing substances (cement, concrete, or lime), the eye can be safely rinsed with Cederroth eye wash solution, as it is 100% phosphate-free.

Placement
Cederroth eye wash bottles can be placed in several ways and are therefore suitable for all workstations. It is best to store the bottle in the designated wall bracket.

While Cederroth buffered eye wash solution dilutes and rinses away the hazardous substance, it also has a neutralizing effect on alkaline and acid splashes. The effect is generally stronger against alkalis than acids. Non-buffered eye wash solution only dilutes the acid/alkali and rinses it away, requiring more solution and longer rinsing time.
