The Canon CN5X11 IAS T R1 is a full-frame Cine Servo lens with a wide-angle zoom range. It is especially suitable for live performances, news, small studios, documentaries, dramas, and virtual productions.

Thanks to advanced metadata support, a new generation digital e-Xs V servo motor unit, and an internal 1.5x focal length extender, as well as full-frame and Super35 support, the Canon CN5x11 IAS T R1/P1 offers excellent optical performance and precision for HDR, 4K, and 8K productions.

More Efficient Servo

The servo motor is faster than the previous control unit, enabling a more responsive iris. Together with the famously fast focus and zoom, this makes the e-Xs V control unit ideal for sports and live broadcasts.

Ergonomic Design

The convenient handle follows the shape of the hand and supports comfortable use even for extended periods. The display positioned on top of the unit improves visibility during shooting.

Excellent Optical Performance

Supports up to 8K HDR resolution from center to edges with organic color reproduction. With 11 aperture blades, the CN5x11 IAS T R1/P1 lens creates smooth highlights and blurred backgrounds. The exceptionally wide 5x optical zoom and 11–55 mm focal length provide versatile shooting options.

RF Mount Connection

Thanks to the RF mount, the CN5x11 IAS T/R1 supports lens distortion correction and real-time metadata recording.

Ergonomic Digital Motor Unit

With fast servo control and optical focus variation correction, you can shoot precisely and intuitively. Multiple connections, including three 20-pin connectors and USB-C, enable remote control and firmware updates, and the 16-bit encoder produces accurate lens data for virtual productions.

Outstanding Image Quality

Large-diameter aspherical lens elements and anomalous dispersion glass deliver 8K resolution edge-to-edge. Canon’s smooth color balance and beautiful skin tone reproduction reduce the need for post-processing.

Versatile Mounting and Configuration Options

The RF mount supports Canon’s excellent Dual Pixel CMOS AF autofocus system, ensuring outstanding focus tracking, and the Dual Pixel focus guide provides useful manual focus indicators. The 1.5x internal focal length extender supports both full-frame and Super35mm cameras.
