The keyboard features 80 keys equipped with factory-lubricated, linear XXXX switches. The hot swap feature allows for easy switch replacement without soldering. The Blackstorm Assassin’s aluminum case is equipped with a magnetically attached, detachable frame, making maintenance and modifications easier. The keycaps are made of durable dye-sublimated PBT plastic and have a low LSA profile, which makes typing comfortable.
The keyboard’s sound damping is achieved with five damping pads (Poron PU and PET) that limit case resonances and ensure a consistent, soft bottom-out. This makes the keyboard’s sound subdued and pleasant.
The mechanical linear switches are factory-lubricated and made of POM material. They withstand 50 million keystrokes, have a 45 gf actuation force, and a 3.0 ± 0.2 mm travel distance. The keyboard supports N-Key Rollover functionality and macros, enhancing smooth gameplay and productivity.
