The Beurer TL30 bright light lamp is very compact in size, suitable for a desk or to take with you on the go. Thanks to its small size, the lamp is also easy to place close to you, for example on a desk. The evenly bright and flicker-free light is gentle on the eyes. The device can be positioned vertically or horizontally. With the convenient stand, you can set the device at two different tilt angles. A handy storage pouch is included in the package.
As daylight noticeably decreases in autumn and winter and people stay indoors more, the effects of lack of light can appear as seasonal affective disorder (SAD). Symptoms of SAD can manifest in various ways such as mood swings, lack of energy, increased need for sleep, loss of appetite, and difficulty concentrating.
Beurer bright light devices are designed to compensate especially for symptoms caused by lack of daylight. Bright light devices simulate daylight intensity of 10,000 lux, which normal lamps cannot provide. Beurer bright light devices are certified medical devices.
Beurer bright light devices are recommended for daily use during the darkest time of the year. Just 30–60 minutes of daily bright light therapy can help with endurance and ease symptoms of seasonal affective disorder. The earlier in the morning the bright light therapy is started, the more effective it is. Therefore, bright light therapy usually begins soon after waking, typically between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. Due to differences in circadian rhythms, bright light therapy at other times of the day may also be beneficial. You can use the bright light device as often as you wish, but from a treatment perspective, the best results are achieved when the device is used daily for at least two hours.
