The Beurer TL100 2in1 is a versatile bright light lamp that, in addition to bright light therapy, features a mood light with three different color tones and a ten-level brightness adjustment. The high-quality 10,000 lux LED light effectively simulates daylight, is energy-efficient, and produces a pleasant, bright, and flicker-free light that does not strain the eyes. The treatment session can be timed for 15, 30, 45, 90, or 120 minutes.
You can also conveniently use the device via a mobile device with the easy-to-use free Beurer LightUp app. The app allows you to adjust the color of the mood light from 256 different shades.
As daylight significantly decreases in the fall and winter and people spend more time indoors, the effects of light deficiency can appear as seasonal affective disorder (SAD). Symptoms of SAD can manifest in various ways, such as mood swings, lack of energy, increased sleep needs, loss of appetite, and difficulty concentrating. Beurer bright light devices are designed to compensate especially for symptoms caused by a lack of daylight. Bright light devices simulate daylight at an intensity of 10,000 lux, which normal lamps cannot provide. Beurer bright light devices are certified medical devices.
Beurer bright light devices are recommended for daily use during the darkest time of the year. Just 30–60 minutes of daily bright light therapy can help with endurance and ease symptoms of seasonal affective disorder. Bright light therapy is more effective the earlier in the morning it is started. For this reason, bright light therapy is typically begun soon after waking, usually between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. However, due to differences in circadian rhythms, bright light therapy at other times of the day can also be beneficial. You can use the bright light device as often as you want, but from a treatment perspective, the best results are achieved when the device is used daily for at least two hours.
