Groundbreaking Cooling System
To accommodate such powerful components, both the chassis and motherboard of the Strix G16 are designed to fit a full-width cooling element, with fins moved closer to the fan exhausts to ensure more efficient cooling. The full-width cooling element consists of three different parts that surround the motherboard with tightly placed fins. This design maximizes the available exit route for warm air and significantly increases overall airflow. Most gaming laptops have a dual-fan cooling system, but the performance of the G16 has been further enhanced with a third fan that helps keep the GPU and VRAM cool. Together with seven efficient heat pipes and the use of Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal for the GPU, the G16’s cooling system is comparable to an engineering marvel.
