The water purification system J.SHMIDT 500 is a portable active filtration system that combines the features of a high-quality fixed water purifier with the portability of a filter jug.

Thanks to Air Pressure Flow (APF) water supply technology, the J.Shmidt 500 can generate the necessary pressure for high-quality water purification comparable to fixed water purifiers. APF technology enables a highly efficient combination of fiber-absorbent AQUALENTM material, fine activated carbon powder, and a microfiltration hollow fiber membrane only 100 nanometers in size in the high-density filter cartridge. Such a cartridge provides high-quality water purification, removing microplastics, chlorine and organic chlorine compounds, as well as heavy metals and iron. It also protects against scale formation while removing bacteria and intestinal parasite cysts without chemical bactericides.

The J.SHMIDT 500 is designed for pre-filtration of water from municipal water supply networks or drinking water sources. The water to be purified is poured into the funnel. Then the funnel is closed with a lid. Pressing the power button activates the air compressor, which increases the air pressure inside the funnel. The water is then forced under pressure through the JS 500 replacement filter cartridge for purification. The compressor is powered by a built-in battery, with the charge level indicated by the LED BATTERY indicator light. The J.SHMIDT 500 system features an LED indicator light marked FILTER to show the remaining filter cartridge life. Included are a charging cable/USB power supply cable – connector Ø3.5 × Ø1.3 mm, and one filter.
