Anker eufy Video Doorbell Dual 2K video doorbell with two cameras. Video doorbell for the Anker eufy system. The Eufy Video Doorbell Dual 2K requires a HomeBase base station to operate, meaning the video doorbell works within the same system as eufycam cameras and eufy Security monitoring devices. Note, this product does not include the HomeBase 2 base station, so it is an accessory for an existing system.
The Eufy Video Doorbell Dual 2K primarily operates on a battery, with battery life depending on usage lasting up to 3–6 months. However, the video doorbell also has connectors on the back that allow the device to be connected to mains power in place of the existing doorbell. The Video Doorbell Dual 2K stores all recordings encrypted on the base station’s built-in 16 GB memory. A unique feature of the Doorbell Dual 2K video doorbell is its two separate cameras. The front/main camera has a resolution of 2560 x 1920, and in addition, there is a downward-facing so-called package camera with a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. The user can choose in the settings whether the camera images are displayed stacked or if the package camera image is placed picture-in-picture inside the main camera’s view. In addition to two separate cameras, the Doorbell Dual 2K also includes two different types of motion sensors. The passive infrared sensor monitors temperature changes, and the radar correspondingly detects movement visible in the image. The two different technologies and comprehensive user-configurable settings enable reliably functioning motion detection.
The Eufy Video Doorbell Dual 2K also supports intelligent motion detection technology built directly into the device itself. The video doorbell can recognize people, faces, and thanks to the downward-facing camera, even packages left at the door. Additionally, the user can define one separate active detection zone (activity zone) in the image. The video doorbell immediately sends a notification upon motion detection and starts recording. As its name suggests, the package camera can send a notification to the user if a delivery has been left at the door or if a previously delivered package has been picked up*. The Doorbell Dual 2K also allows recording and sending custom voice messages. When speaking through the app, the audio connection is two-way, enabling easy conversation without pressing a separate button.
Note, accessory for an existing eufy system. The product does not include the required HomeBase 2 base station.
The battery life of the video doorbell is significantly affected by the operating temperature, wireless network strength, doorbell usage, and the number of motion detections. When connected to replace an existing doorbell, the chime does not function.
*The functionality of package camera notifications depends significantly on where the package/delivery is left at the door. The package must be within the camera’s field of view. Packages left too far away or to the side may not be detected by the camera.
